Things to do nearby
There are some wonderful places to visit near to Camping Le Vieux Moulin and so below we’ve listed a few of our favourites.
Fort La Latte
If you’re going to visit anywhere whilst staying at Le Vieux Moulin then please visit Fort La Latte. Set on the cliffs overlooking the sea, Fort La Latte was constructed in the 13th century to protect vessels anchored in Fresnaye Bay whilst they waited to enter the busy port of St Malo. The views from the fort are truly spectacular and those old enough too remember may recognise the fort from the film “Vikings” with Tony Curtis and Kirk Douglas.
Saint Brieuc is home to some wonderful Breton architecture with some timber buildings that date back to the 15th and 16th centuries. The towns cathedral also dates to the 14th and 15th centuries and offer visitors to see some relics of the towns founder who was a Welsh Monk and who the town is named after.
Dinard is a lovely seaside resort which gained popularity in the later part of the 19th century. Although once a small fishing village, Dinard gained popularity firstly with the wealthy merchants from St Malo and then the rich and famous who made Dinard a popular resort like Nice and St Tropez.
There are plenty of stunning houses in Dinard and the resort also has several lovely beaches which are great for families.
