Le Ranolien is what camping holidays in Brittany are all about. This wonderful campsite is situated in the Cotes d’Armor region of Brittany a stones throw from the coast.
The campsite is a member of the Yelloh! Village group of campsites and as such you can rest assured that it’s geared towards you having a fantastic camping holiday in France.
This part of the Breton coast offers a wide range of terrain from rocky cliffs and coves to soft sandy beaches. The nearest beach is quite small but lies only 10 minutes away by foot and offers the chance to relax on the sand or to go rock pooling with the kids.
Slightly further east you will find the popular seaside resort of Perros Guirec which has a larger beach and a multitude of French cafe’s, restaurant, bars and shops.
The campsite offers a comprehensive range of activities for those who prefer to stay on site including a spectacular pool complex with 4 swimming pools, water slides, spa and jacuzzi. Also on offer are various other activities including diving lessons, a cinema, gym, football, tennis and much much more!
A trip to the nearby town of Lannion is well worth the visit and we’d also recommend a trip to the aquarium at Tregastel.
Le Ranolien also caters well for those long summer evenings. After a hectic day at the pool or beach why not sit back and enjoy a meal at the onsite restaurant and then a drink at the bar followed by watching the on site evening entertainment.

Things to do nearby
There are plenty of great places to see and things to do nearby to Le Ranolien so below you’ll find a few of our favourites.
Perros Guirec is a popular seaside resort which lies along the pink granite coast. The town has some fantastic beaches which are not only good for families but also with those looking to try various watersports. The best beach for families is Plage Trestraou as it’s long, sandy and very well sheltered from the elements.
Chateau du Taureau
The Chateau du Taureau is a 16th century fortress which can be found in the bay of Morlaix off the north coast of Brittany. The chateau was build originally to protect the trade centre, Morlaix from attack but was later transformed during the reign of Louis XIV by the famous engineer Vauban.
Lannion can be found just 13km to the south of Le Ranolien campsite. Although it’s the centre for telecommunication, the old parts are steeped in history. Many of the older streets are filled with pleasant historic Breton building. The majority of older Breton houses were made of timber and many in Lannion date back to the 16th and 17 centuries.
