Things to do nearby
There are plenty of great places to see and things to do nearby to Domaine des Ormes so below you’ll find a few of our favourites.
Alligator Bay lies around 27km to the northeast of Domaine des Ormes and close to Mont St Michel. As it’s name suggests, Alligator Bay is a reptile enclosure which features a great number of animals. There are over 100 different species of crocodile and alligators as well as snakes, lizards and tortoises.
St Malo was founded originally in the 6th century by Saint Aaron and Saint Brendan. Although many people arrive at St Malo on the ferry from the UK very few stay to see the sights. The wonderful port is filled with history and should definitely be on your list of places to visit.
Grand Aquarium St Malo
As much as we love the port of St Malo, the Grand Aquarium has to be one of the best places we’ve visited. At the aquarium you’ll find a whole variety of different species and the touch pool area is fantastic for children of all ages.
Mont Saint Michel
Mont Saint Michel is the last of our recommended places to visit. Outside of Paris, Mont Saint Michel is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the whole of France. As you approach Mont Saint Michel, you will see why so many people visit it each year. It truly is spectacular!
